Genealogy Researcher

We invite genealogists to join this community project and help uncover family stories of kinship. We need volunteers who
can conduct genealogical research to identify living
descendants and/or other family members of
people who were buried at either Saint Matthew Cemetery or North Greenwood Cemetery. You’ll get hands-on practice in:

African American historical genealogical research

Collaborative community research and reconstruction

Identifying the living relatives through descendancy research

Expanding expertise with FamilySearch & WikiTree (mandatory)

Writing living-relatives reports

Oral History Creator

We need volunteers to video/record information they recall about living and growing up in the Clearwater community, including information about the Clearwater cemeteries, families, businesses, schools, and more.
We want to preserve these memories and keep the discussion going.

Content Creator

We need volunteers to help us with a variety of writing projects, including grant writing, blog posts, family histories, website and social media content, and general writing tasks.
